Gimme Coffee Cooperative is a specialty coffee roaster and retailer based in Ithaca, New York, founded in 2000 and re-established in 2022 as a worker-owned cooperative. With café locations and a strong wholesale business, Gimme is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the coffee industry, built around balanced flavor, ethical sourcing, and democratic ownership. Gimme sources the vast majority of its coffee from small-holder cooperatives, prioritizing Fairtrade and organic certification to help rebalance value and power in the global coffee supply chain. As a Living Wage–certified employer, the cooperative is committed to dignified work, shared decision-making, and community well-being—both locally and at origin. At its core, Gimme exists to prove that great coffee and strong values can coexist: consistent, thoughtfully roasted coffee paired with fairness, transparency, and collective ownership.
